THE FOUNDATION
Frans Roebroeks, Jo Purnot and Mieke Kirkels,
took the initiative to set up the Fields of Margraten foundation on January 1, 2009 with the aim to adapt the collected stories along with new material, documents and film footage in such a way that the history of Margraten at the time when the American cemetery was developed can be passed on to the next generations. The foundation’s board carries out its activities along with a number of volunteers and will present the first two publications on Thursday September 10 2009.
